Marry Me Salmon Recipe
Step 1: Prep the Salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season them generously on both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. This seasoning creates a flavorful crust and enhances the salmon’s natural taste.
Step 2: Cook the Salmon
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, place the seasoned salmon fillets into the skillet. Sear each side for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
Step 3: Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, then add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir well until the cheese has melted and the sauce begins to thicken slightly.
Step 4: Add Flavor to the Sauce
Mix in the chili flakes (if you prefer some heat), sun-dried tomatoes, and dried basil or Italian seasoning. Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes to blend the flavors.
Step 5: Combine & Finish
Stir in the fresh chopped spinach and cook until it wilts. Return the seared salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over them. Let the dish simmer for another 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For an extra crispy crust on the salmon, avoid moving it while searing. Let it cook undisturbed before flipping.
- If your sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of chicken broth or cream to loosen it.
- Use sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil for better flavor and easier blending into the sauce.
