Crispy Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings and Corn Recipe
Ingredients:
– Chicken Wings: About 1.5 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats (tips removed).
– Corn on the Cob: 2-3 ears of corn, shucked.
– Marinade (for Chicken Wings):
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon rice wine or dry sherry
– 1 teaspoon cornstarch
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– Salt and Pepper Coating:
– 1 tablespoons salt
– 1 tablespoon black pepper
– 1 teaspoon five-spice powder (optional, adds a nice depth)
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– Oil for Frying: Enough oil to deep fry the chicken wings.
– Butter (for Corn): 2 tablespoons butter, melted.
